Don't forget it's still the catch and release period for smallmouth. Can't say about the water color. I'd say just come and fish and get different baits for different conditions. The weather is throwing me for a loop? huge storm rolled in today....how much will this affect the water color and fishing forcast? Suppose to warm up in the middle of the week. Im taking my buddy and his son 12 years old...we have slayed the muskie and smallies a few time there before, but the weather conditions have always been supreme. Lev. Thanks for the response, I appriciate al you guys are doing for the out of towners. I found the report on the pike and the marble eyes more informitive than some of the others that have ben posted. I know how it is for the hard water people do not want to give up their spots on where the fish are. I look forward to getting there and getting some of those monsters. Sometimes it's tough to post new content during the ice fishing months since it seems the best fishing is in all the same spots - except for those spots anglers keep secret. As ice fishermen we are limited by the ice to only the shoreline areas. I will do my best to make this a great fishing report site when the open water season is back on.
