Fastest Perch Fillet Ever! (Video)

We received an email from Nancy, an enthusiastic local ice angler, who found this 2-minute video on the fastest way possible to fillet your perch catch.  It’s been on the Internet for some time and was shot by anglers on Lake Simcoe where Captain Dan takes regular trips.

Thanks for the tip Nancy and we hope they taste as good as they look!

We recently received this news from M.O.M.C. in their January 2010 newsletter:

The annual awards banquet, held at the Italian American Cultural Center, was a true success. The M.O.M.C. would like to thank all the directors and members that lent a hand in obtaining prizes and setting up for this night of fun. The club would also like to give a huge thumbs up to Chef Chris and his staff at the I.A.C.C. for the wonderful cuisine!

The prizes were excellent this year, two TV’s, a ton of great muskie baits, hand held GPS’s; it was almost as good as Christmas. Thank you to all of the people that donated raffle items this year.

The big surprise of the evening, however, came when Tony Jaros was recognized for his lake and M.O.M.C. record 48.5# muskie. Apparently, a group of Tony’s friends had collected the funds to commission a Fittante replica of Tony’s fish. For those of you who missed it, it is a beautiful piece of art!

Once again, thanks to all those that made it happen, and the huge number of members for attending.
