55" Muskie Caught in 2007

How big do they get in Lake St. Clair?

Captain Ray Novak is a veteran Lake St. Clair charter captain.  His boat is called Chipmunk IV and he fishes out of St. Clair Shores.  In 2007, Ray’s clients got into this muskie.  “At a full 55 inches, this beast is the longest officially measured and weighed “Catch and Keep” Muskie from Lake St. Clair since the State has been keeping records,” Ray told us. “Two of my very happy clients, Mark Dawkins & Keith Niemi both from Clawson Michigan, are both holding the record fish because it took both of them to bring this Monster to the net!”
